The students of Grade 6 visited St Anthony’s Home for the aged on the 28th of November 2022. They helped seat the elderly in the compound with an attempt to get acquainted, and once settled our students found their feet.
They painted the entire place red through song and dance; one could be sure to see the twinkles in their wrinkles. The game of housie immediately followed the vibrant dances, leaving our audience enthralled. Its hilarious commentary raised nothing but laughs and smiles. It was in that exact moment that a certain realisation dawned on each one of them that it is indeed ‘love that makes the world go round’.
The entire programme was well thought of and planned with our parent volunteers carpooling our students to the venue and back. The objective of the visit aligns itself perfectly with this year’s theme ‘Persons for Others’ and also runs parallel with the mission and vision of our school.
