The students of Grade 3 of St Stanislaus International School visited the Bandra Police Station, Bandra West on Tuesday, 11th October, 2022. They were accompanied by 2 teachers and 9 parents. It was an exciting day for the students as they were able to witness all that they had heard about the police force.

Sub Inspector Madhav Bhise along with his team gave the students an insight into what it is to be a policeman or policewoman and the challenges they face every day. The students asked him and his team various questions like, ‘How can someone join the police force?’ as well as ‘Why is the uniform the specific khaki colour?’ and many more. The police were extremely warm and gracious and ensured the children were comfortable speaking to them. They also made sure to give the students tips on safety, defence as well as rules and regulations.

The students were also shown the armoury, the cyber-crime unit, a glimpse of the prison cells as well as the passport department of the Bandra Police Station. The students presented a beautiful handmade card to the police showing their gratitude for the police’s services.
