The Feast of St Ignatius of Loyola was celebrated with great pomp and solemnity on Friday, 29th July, 2022 by the staff and students of St Stanislaus International School.
The Jesuit community of St Peter’s Church were welcomed and given handmade bookmarks crafted by our own students of Grade 8. Our compere for the event, Ms Sharon Joseph invited Fr Baptist Pinto to address the crowd. Fr Baptist gave the students a beautiful insight of this special day.
A video encapsulating the life and works of our patron, St Ignatius of Loyola was also played. This was followed by a solemn prayer service which was conducted by the students of the primary section and a skit involving St Ignatius of Loyola’s teachings by the students of the secondary section.
The song “The Impossible Dream” was beautifully sung by Mayrah from Grade 9 and Isiaah from Grade 8.
Our Principal, Tr Anna Correa was then invited to address the crowd. The students had a surprise as our student Zeus from Grade 9 dressed up as St Ignatius of Loyola and spoke to them. This was a huge success especially with the students of the smaller grades.
This great celebration of our patron saint ended with the March of St Ignatius.
