The 21 students of Grade 7 of St. Stanislaus International School along with two staff members and 3 parents visited the Dilkhush Special School, Juhu. The visit to Dilkhush was organised by the institution as a part of the Social Outreach programme for the Academic year 2022-23. The school theme for this year is – ‘Persons for others’ and the class theme of Grade 7 is – ‘Reaching out to the differently abled’.
The purpose of the visit was to understand and sensitize the students about the differently abled individuals. Dilkhush acclimatizes the method of educating students who necessitate special requirements in a manner that speaks to their individual disparities and desires. The teachers of Dilkhush are extremely qualified, patient, cooperative and earnest towards the kids having various learning tactics for each of them.
Principal Sheeba of Dilkhush gave us a complete class-to-class tour of the school along with personal interaction with the kids. The teachers therein conducted a team game with everyone which was a huge success. The older individuals of the school work towards making wonderful wooden items, embroidery items and festive specials.
We as a class got a chance to witness their art and handmade products. Towards the end of the visit our students were filled with complete awareness, gratefulness, respect and sense of togetherness with all.
We would really thank the entire management, staff and students of Dilkhush for all their cooperation, making this visit indeed a successful one.
