French Day celebrations at SSIS 2024

Spread the love

The school celebrated French Day on July 15th, 2024, with a special program held in the School Hall. The event commenced with a short assembly conducted in French, followed by a role-play discussing the significance of Bastille Day.

An entertaining skit was then performed by students from Grades 8 and 10. Following this, Grade 6 students showcased their singing talents with “Comment ça va,” impressing everyone despite having only started learning the language a month earlier. Grade 7 students presented “Feel the Magic in the Air,” delivering a fantastic performance.

All participants in the program did an exceptional job. They received widespread praise for their excellent fluency and pronunciation in French.

The Secondary section participated in a spirited Spell Bee competition, with each grade enthusiastically answering questions. This was followed by a Quiz on France for each grade, of the Primary section, in which the students eagerly participated.

Overall, the program was enjoyed by all as it provided students with valuable insights into the language and culture of France.
