The Xavier’s House at St Stanislaus International school, celebrated its annual feast on 4th December 2023, marking the occasion with a series of inspiring and engaging activities. The event commenced with a solemn opening prayer that set a reflective tone for the celebration.
Following the prayer, a short yet insightful introduction was given, leading into an informative video presentation that delved into the life and teachings of St Francis Xavier. These were a source of inspiration, emphasizing the values and virtues that the saint embodied, providing a foundation for the subsequent events of the assembly.
A highlight of the celebration was a skit centered around the motto of the Xavier House ‘Character in Excellence.’ The skit creatively conveyed the message that, through collaboration and teamwork, individuals can enhance their character and achieve excellence in their pursuits. This portrayal not only entertained the audience but also instilled a sense of purpose and unity among our students.
The performance was complemented by a spirited rendition of the song “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus during which our students showcased their talents through a combination of dance and song. The choice of the song resonated with the theme of the day, reinforcing the idea that growth and success are achievable through collective effort and determination.
Our principal, Mr Montwyn D’Costa then addressed our students, providing them with some valuable insights. He also motivated them to strive for excellence in all aspects of life. The celebration concluded with the entire gathering joining together to sing the school anthem.
