The Feast of St John de Britto was celebrated with gusto on Friday, 3rd February, 2023. St John de Britto is the patron saint of the Britto house.
The students from the primary section conducted a wonderful assembly dedicated to this remarkable saint. They highlighted the fact that St John de Britto was one of the frontrunners of excellence for the Jesuit community. He was also responsible for teaching a number of people about Jesus, especially in South India. Master James Farias from Grade 2, dressed up as St John de Britto in the saint’s trademark red cap and white veil. He visited all the classes from Grade 1 to Grade 9 and spoke about this great saint.
The secondary section of St Stanislaus International School celebrated the feast with an assembly and quiz centred around the life and values taught by this zealous saint. The celebrations concluded with a reflection on the values learnt and was practised throughout the day.
It was indeed an insightful and prayerful service dedicated to St John de Britto.
