TALENT COMPETITION, 2025

This year’s Talent Competition (Performing Arts) unfolded over two vibrant days and began with an elimination round on Thursday, 3rd July, 2025, where dozens of performers showcased their skills before a panel of three judges. From fifty-one entries, thirty-six finalists emerged—who then captivated the whole school at the stage finals on Thursday, 10th July, 2025. The participants danced, sang as well and performed stand-up comedy acts. The students performed in categories split between the primary and the secondary sections. Grades 1 and 2 and Grades 3, 4 and 5 were the two categories in the primary section, whereas the secondary was divided into Grades 6 and 7 and Grades 8, 9 and 10. Our talented judges for the eliminations were Ms Lily Castellino, Mr Jade Sequeira and Ms Judith D’Abreo. Our judges for the finals were Ms Lily Castellino once again, Mr Aston D’Cunha and Ms Raynah Braganza. The judges spoke about the importance of participating and honing one’s skills. Sir Montwyn and Tr Petula felicitated the judges as well. The Talent Competition for the Performing Arts truly encapsulated the efficacious and enthusiastic nature of our students.

The celebration continued on Friday, 11th July, 2025, with the Creative Arts Competition, an equal partner in the competition. Every student participated, making it a wonderfully inclusive affair. Students produced digital posters, jewellery, models, clay murals, and mixed-media crafts, many incorporating recycled materials in support of the school’s sustainability goals. Stand-out pieces ranged from digital posters to cotton art, earbud sketches to embroidery and crochet work.

This event truly brought out the students’ creativity, organisational skills, time-management skills and most of all, their vivacious talents. This was indeed a great opportunity for every student to tap into their inner potential and nurture their God-given gifts.
