The halls of St. Stanislaus International School were filled with excitement and anticipation on the 18th of July, 2024, as students showcased their talents in the highly awaited Talent Show – Stand Out 2024. The event, divided into two segments, saw enthusiastic participation from both the primary (Grades 1 to 5) and secondary (Grades 6 to 10) sections. The atmosphere was electric, with students and teachers eagerly cheering on the performers.
The esteemed panel of judges for the event featured well-known personalities from the music and dance industry: Mr. Joshua Vaz, Mr. Jerome Coelho, Ms. Suchita Shirke, and Ms. Fedora Demello. Their expertise and keen eye for talent added a layer of prestige to the competition, and their constructive feedback was invaluable for the young performers.
Primary Section Performances (Grades 1 to 5):
The younger students charmed the audience with their energetic and heartwarming performances. The dance numbers were a delightful blend of styles, showcasing the students’ versatility. The singing category featured solo performances, with budding singers impressing everyone with their melodious voices and confident stage presence. One of the standout performances was a mime piece that poignantly depicted the social issue of child labour, leaving a lasting impact on the audience. The instrumental performances were a treat, as young musicians played various instruments, from keyboards to guitars, displaying impressive skill and coordination.

Grades 3, 4, and 5 Category:

Additionally, special prizes for outstanding performances were awarded to Alisa Mary Pacheco, Carolyn Grace Furtado, and Zayne Aaron Cabral.
Secondary Section Performances (Grades 6 to 10):
The senior students took the stage with a series of polished and captivating performances. The dance routines were a visual spectacle, blending complex choreography with powerful expressions. The singers in this category wowed everyone with their vocal range and emotive renditions of popular songs. The instrumental performances were a showcase of musical talent, with students playing a range of instruments, including the bongo, violin, and piano, delivering captivating performances. The stand-up comedy act was a hit, as the students’ witty observations and clever punchlines had the audience in stitches.

Grades 8, 9, and 10 Category:
- 1st place: Mariette Rebello

A special prize for an outstanding performance was awarded to Sarrinah Shaikh.
The judges commended all the participants for their hard work, creativity, and enthusiasm. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from the school principal, who expressed pride in the students’ achievements and encouraged them to continue nurturing their talents.
The Stand Out 2024 was a resounding success, leaving everyone eagerly awaiting next year’s event. It was a wonderful celebration of the diverse talents of the students of St. Stanislaus International School and a testament to the school’s commitment to fostering creativity and expression.
