The school celebrated 14th July- Bastille Day with much fervour, as always, to bring in the celebratory spirit of the French National day.
The celebrations began early on in the week, with students across all grades eagerly decorating their classrooms and hallways with a variety of decorations such as streamers, French flags, wall hangings, posters and models of the Eiffel tower.
To honour 14th July, the Assembly in the Secondary section. was conducted completely in French by students across Grades 8 to 10.
There was also an essay- writing competition held for the students of Grades 9 and 10, which received an enthusiastic response.
Ms. Petula and Ms. Christine organised a number of in-class activities for students of Grades 6 to 10, with an objective to learn more about the French language and culture. Students solved crossword, word search puzzles, participated in spell bees & dumb-charades in French to boost their vocabulary. They also got a glimpse of French culture through videos and music.
To sum up, it was a memorable celebration at St Stanislaus International!
