On the occasion of the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the Jesuit Community and our school came together to honor and celebrate the life and legacy of this great saint. The program began with a heartfelt prayer service, creating an atmosphere of reflection and reverence.
Following the prayer service, a thought-provoking skit was performed by the students. The skit depicted a modern-day classroom setting where a student, feeling lost and overwhelmed, unexpectedly meets St. Ignatius of Loyola. Through their engaging conversation, St. Ignatius narrates his inspiring life story, from his early days as a soldier to his spiritual awakening and the founding of the Society of Jesus. He emphasizes the significance of finding God in all things, living a life of discernment, and serving others with humility and dedication. This powerful interaction motivates the student to practice the principles of St. Ignatius in her own life, highlighting the timeless relevance of his teachings.
The celebration concluded with the “March of St. Ignatius.” sung by the students of Grade 10. This memorable celebration not only honored the saint but also inspired the entire school community to strive for excellence and service, following in the footsteps of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
